I am a born and raised New Yorker who came home after a few years in the wilderness. I love working for progressive reform, and I love working with fellow activists.

After attending Dartmouth College I lived and worked on political campaigns in places like South Dakota and Las Vegas. I had a short gig as a traveling salesman in the New England and spent a year doing disaster response work after Hurricane Katrina in Biloxi, Mississippi. I came home for law school at Fordham, spent a summer researching in India, and volunteered many hours for President Obama's campaign. Last fall I did civil rights litigation with Norman Siegel, and am currently on a project in Liberia, returning to NYC again soon.

My main focus right now with respect to the progressive agenda is creating a civic education movement that looks beyond election cycles and individual bills through a group of activists I work with called the Bull Moose Movement . Most Americans right now are completely disengaged, and unaware of a corrosive corporate influence that leads to devastating results in every policy area. I'm not very interested in writing notes to my Congressmen, or knocking on doors in 2010, though I recognize the value in both. I want to focus on getting progressives back in to neglected communities, talking about why these issues matter in the first place. I'm looking to connect with people, so please email me at rovingstorm@gmail.com, or email the Bull Moose Movement at bullmoosemovement@gmail.com.
