US expatriate Tom Kenny is a tenured faculty member and associate professor of linguistics in the department of British & American Studies at Nagoya University of Foreign Studies in central Japan, where he teaches media studies with a focus on "independent media through podcasting," and holds a seminar on American Society.
Tom is a 30-year veteran broadcaster who has worked in the US and Japan as an announcer and voice-over artist. The author of several textbooks on speaking and listening in ESL, a skilled and dynamic speaker, Tom has been presenting his research and giving talks at international conferences for over a decade.
