Sara Robinson is one of the few trained social futurists in the US, and will complete her MS in Futures Studies from the University of Houston in 2009. Her skill set includes trend analysis, scenario development, futures research, social change theories, systems thinking, and strategic planning. She also holds a BA in Journalism from the USC Annenberg School of Communication, and has worked as a columnist or editor for several national magazines.

Sara has blogged on authoritarian and extremist movements at Orcinus (www.dneiwert.blogspot.com) since 2006; and has been a staff blogger for the Campaign for America's Future (www.ourfuture.org) since January 2008.

A native of California's High Sierra, she spent 20 years in Silicon Valley before moving to Vancouver, BC in 2004. She is married, and the mother of two teenagers.
