Dependent on Social Security

I am a 57 year old single mother of a 15 year old girl. I've been a single mother for almost 10 years; it's not what I was expecting when I got married.
Because of the expense of child care, I had to keep my job because I was allowed to work out of my home. But my co. is small and there are no dependent benefits and no retirement, no 401(K), nothing. Now our co. is in shaky condition and may not be in business much longer.
I haven't been able to save much because of the medical and dental bills for both myself and my daugher. I only receive minimum child support.
So I am entirely dependent on Social Security and whatever job I will be able to get. I know how hard it is for people my age to find work other than Home Depot, WalMart, etc. and I will be happy to be able to get such a job. I don't mind working as long as I'm physically able. But I live in a town where work is very scarce and most people even with college ed. have to work at menial low paying jobs.
