Republicans to Try Some Newt Tricks

gristmill.grist.org — Newt Gingrich resigned his seat in Congress in 1998. But he's back on the Hill and threatening that the Republicans will shut down government — again — if they don't get a vote on drilling. Perhaps he hasn't gotten the message yet that he is no longer an elected official.
