CNN decided to surrender its airwaves the weekend of April 10-11 to conservative Wall Street mogul Pete Peterson and his crusade to gut Social Security and other safety-net programs in the guise of addressing a "deficit crisis." Missing from the debate are progressive approaches to resolving legitimate fiscal concerns while continuing to make the investments in people and in our nation that will strengthen our economy and our well-being.
