The Employee Free Choice Act (EFCA), presently being considered in Congress, facilitates worker organization by removing barriers to "certifying" a union for collective bargaining. This report estimates the impact that EFCA will have on employer-based health and pension benefits

The report estimates the national impact of the Employee Free Choice Act:

  • 3,537,625 more people with health insurance.
  • 2,773,045 more people with pensions.
