In this critical year, Take Back America will bring together all of the elements of the progressive movement—grassroots and netroots activists, elected officials, business owners, policy experts and more. Together, we will generate new power for our movement for change based on a new vision and bold ideas for an America that works for everyone, not just the few.

Driving the Debate in 2008 and Beyond
-Five themes at the heart of the progressive agenda will be the focus of Take Back America 2008:

* Economic Strategy for America in the Global Economy
* Green Jobs for a Sustainable Energy Future
* Quality, Affordable Health Care for All
* Out of Iraq to Real Security
* The New Social Justice Agenda

This song, recorded and produced by Campaign for America's Future, is adapted from Willie Nelson's anthem "A Peaceful Solution." Nelson made the song available to all, without copyright protection, welcoming individuals to re-record the song in their own styles, create new lyrics and use the song to promote peace and justice. Below are the lyrics written by the Campaign for America's Future:

Take Back America

This county, what we need,
Is progressives to take the lead.
So let's Take Back America.

Let's unite and stand tall,
And win health care for all.
And let's Take Back America.

Green jobs for our nation
To end our oil fixation.
For the planet and economy.

We will fight for social justice,
Righting wrongs that are amongst us.
And we'll Take Back America.

To our troops in Iraq,
We will bring you back.
And support you here at home.

Jobs that are well paid,
Fair trade over free trade,
When we Take Back America.

When progressives take the lead,
With our vision to succeed,
We will Take Back America.

Don’t Believe the [Conservative] Hype

Here's the “Failure of Conservatism,” brought to you by conservative ideologue (and now-New York Times columnist) William Kristol. In this video, Kristol butts up against the limits of his own conservative views.

America's ready for a change. Unfortunately, ideologues like Kristol would sooner defend old (and broken) conservative strategies than chart a new course that might actually work for ordinary Americans.

Toxic Toys: A Poisonous Affair

What is the infection that Barbie has suddenly come down with? Imported toys from China with dangerous levels of lead, including Barbie doll accessories, have ended up in U.S. stores. Yet, Nancy Nord, the acting head of the Consumer Product Safety Commission, opposes efforts to strengthen her agency. Plus, she's taken trips paid for by the industries she regulates. It's clear: Nancy Nord must resign.

Several news outlets, including ABCNews.com, The Washington Post, the Associated Press and even the Fox News Channel did stories on this YouTube video by the Campaign for America's Future that calls attention to the conservative-led decimation of the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Hurricane Katrina 2nd Anniversary

Two years after the Bush administration's abysmal response to the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, conservative policies are continuing to fail the people of New Orleans and the Gulf region. This video dramatizes how disconnected Bush's promises to the region are to his administration's actions.

Caught on Tape! - The Plot to Bury Progress

Stand up to the conservative minority burying progress in Congress. In this Karl-Rove-meets-Harry-Potter political parody featuring Jason Alexander, we expose the all-too-real conservative plot to obstruct progress in the United States Senate.
