 <title>The race chasm</title>
 <link>http://www.ourfuture.org/blog-entry/race-chasm</link>
 <description>&lt;p&gt;As a longtime reporter covering the civil rights movement and politics, I am appalled that anyone who suggests there is racism in America is labeled a racist. Sen. Obama has been protected by every black commentator (save a couple) and by  white liberals who pretend racism doesn&#039;t exist. When Sen. Clinton suggests that Obama has trouble getting white support, she is called a racist. We are still a racist society and to pretend otherwise is not racism, it&#039;s blindness.&lt;/p&gt;
