Attendee at the Yearly Kos convention earlier this month in Chicago will never forget it. Fifteen hundred conferees sat down to lunch at the convention center's biggest ballroom. Half a dozen bloggers sat down for a "hot topics" panel discussion. They were introduced, one by one. They arrived at the fourth blogger from the left. Fifteen hundred Yearly Kossacks lept to their feet as one, wouldn't shut up, wouldn't sit down. They were honoring one of the blogosphere's most brilliant lights: Digby, proprietress of the blog Hullabaloo, aka Heather Parton of Santa Monica, California.

That's her below, "outing" herself out of pseudonymity for the first time at Campaign for America's Future's June, 2007 Take Back America Conference.

That's her below, too, blogging about racism and Hurricane Katrina. I'm pleased and I'm proud to announce that starting today, Digby will be joining us here with her searing and agenda-setting insights on the American right with exclusive posts at least once a week. I couldn't do what I do without benefit of her insights. That I'm going to be doing it now alongside her insights makes me want to cry, "Hullabaloo!"
