Every Friday in our Weekend Watchdog feature, we post suggested questions for scheduled Sunday guests. You can add your own questions in the comment thread. We'll also include contact information for the shows, so we can let them know what their viewers want asked.
And on Sunday at 4 PM ET, tune in to Air America Radio's "Seder on Sundays" program, where I'll offer the Weekend Watchdog Wrap-Up.
For Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (CBS' Face The Nation): Your one day of round-the-clock debate on Iraq -- forcing those who are filibustering change to do so in the media spotlight -- pressured one additional Republican to abandon the filibuster.
Yet you chose to stop the debate after one day. By temporarily pulling the bill off the floor, are you reducing the pressure on those filibustering just when it was beginning to work?
(Sign the petition telling Sen. Reid to keep the pressure on.)
For Sen. Kit Bond, R-MO (Fox News Sunday): You not only joined your fellow Senate conservatives in filibustering the redeployment of combat troops out of Iraq, but you all have repeatedly voted to block popular legislation, such as bills supporting renewable energy, lower prescription drug prices and free choice to join unions.
Are you concerned that you and your party will pay a political price for repeatedly obstructing the public will?
For New York Times pundit David Brooks (NBC's Meet The Press): In a recent column, you accused Sen. Majority Leader Harry Reid of preventing -- for political purposes -- a bipartisan agreement to change course in Iraq between Democratic senators Carl Levin and Jack Reed, and Republican Senators Richard Lugar and John Warner.
But Reid just tried to pass the Levin-Reed amendment to change course in Iraq, and was filibustered by conservatives including Lugar and Warner.
Will you acknowledge that you don't know what you're talking about?
