Village Idiots

Even the best-informed among us can have a hard-time keeping track of which conservative blog is which, because—well, simply because they're all so freakin' insane your head hurts reading them for more than fifteen seconds. So I'd like to bestow the official Big Con Seal of Approval on blogger and distinguished wingnutologist Roy Edroso's comprehensive guide in the Village Voice. Read the whole thing; not only is it hilarious, it's genuinely learned, and it sneaks in a crucial insight into how conservatives con in between all the snark: whatever nice things they happen to say about Barack Obama (and Hillary Clinton!) now serve merely to set up their shocked, shocked discovery that, lo and behold, it turns out he's just revealed himself to be just another eeeeevil latte-sipping socialist after all.

That's why we call it the Big Con.
