Tonight's Iraq speech

Here's George Bush II, patron saint of the Forever Caucus, yapping rigmarole about 5,700 boys home by Christmas and "a war of good and evil," and "it is never too late to support freedom," and outright fantasies like "the government in Iraq," and about the 36 nations supposedly fighting by our side, and about monsters who "can reach our cities and kill our people"—"return on success"!!

And here's Queen Elizabeth II, someone in a position to actually know something about the subject, though only a figurehead—imperialism was the old family business: "We lost the American colonies because we lacked the statesmanship to know the right time and the manner of yielding what is impossible to keep."

Her Majesty is more relevant than our President. I wish he would just fold his cards.
