Over at Hullabaloo, DDay writes brilliantly about an emerging conservative strategy: framking Barack Obama a scary, because he's popular.

Like, you know, Hitler was popular.

As DDay eloquently explains, it fits perfectly with the conservative horror at mass political participation. You know, what's known, in other contexts, as "democracy."
