The Fightin' Side of Me

A friend of mine recently asked, a bit patronizingly, if I was still writing about sinkholes - apparently a subject beneath my gifts. Rachel Maddow of Air America jokes about "making infrastructure sexy" - and complains that she's been having a hard time getting others to join the crusade. We think the Third Worldization of America's built environment is the best gut argument out there for convincing the masses of the insanity of the Republican revolt against taxes; we've had a hard to getting too many people excited.

Well, bless us all, we both have an ally in none other than Merle Haggard!!
