A new ad began running today in Ohio's 16th Congressional District, paid for by Alliance for Retired Americans. The ad highlights the Jim Renacci-John Boehner GOP plan to raise the retirement age to 70, in order to help offset some of the new debt created by the GOP's plan to renew the Bush tax cuts for America's top 2% of income earners.
The ad, while humorous, makes a serious point. At a time when seniors are already struggling to make ends meet, here come Boehner, Renacci, Steve Stivers, Pat Tiberi, and more, to make it even tougher. What's next? Voting down a cost-of-living adjustment? Well, get ready because if these guys have their way, it's precisely what's coming.
