Why We Hurt

The healers cannot heal.
The fighters cannot fight.
The leaders cannot lead.
The artists cannot breathe.
The teachers cannot teach.

The only acceptable profession is that of the working class.

The upper crust has lost its self-control.
It is their right to control the worker bees.
But they've conspired to turn us all into worker bees.
To take the classes that have traditionally stood alone and faced off with the rulers.
- the real system of checks and balances -
and crush the strongest, cripple the rest, subdue and strangle
Until they become ghosts in the image of haunted worker bees.

I am a nerd, and these people don't belong here.
They're popping pills to stay awake in this library.
I'd live here if I could.
Suburban drivers don't belong on Nascar tracks.
And only academics need to be in school.

Maybe if I didn't have to wait for the rest of the 28 people in class to catch up,
I'd get a better education in school than I do in Borders.

What does school teach you that your parents cannot?

To submit to oppression without opposition or complaint.

It takes such a very lot of school to teach a nation of people that lesson.
And it only sticks with a certain percentage of the population.
The rest are in prison, destitute, or driven mad.

Schools torture independent spirits, fighters, and the brave.
They manipulate the kind and abuse the innocent.

What do they produce?

Unhappy people who work without ceasing and consume to oblivion.
