While we at Campaign for America's Future and Open Left having been conducting our own "Bernanke Whip Count," so have the journalists at Hotline On Call. Their updated count has Bernanke at 54 votes, but they are lumping in Senators who have said they "lean" towards voting "Yes."
Taking those leaners out, Bernanke only has 49 Senators firm, with 30 Senators still undeclared.
Furthermore, it is expected that at least 60 Senators will support ending a filibuster, while fewer will support the nomination. But nothing is certain until the votes are cast.
