Money Trumps Heart

Money clearly underlies the motivation of the opposition to universal health care. While pretending to support health care for all (it's like supporting Mothers and Children, you can't overtly oppose them!) the profitmaking entrepreneurs in the industry are spending bushels of money to influence Congress and the public on one objective: allowing them to continue to wring outrageous profits from the illness of their fellow Americans. All the talk about ideology is just smokescreen. These people don't want their gravy train stopped. For one example, they've already squeezed consent from the President to allow Big Pharma to charge their usual extortionary prices without requirement to negotiate. This concession alone is a key guarantee that the national economy will continue to suffer undue inflation. Now they're spending more millions to block democratic debate in the home districts of Congress. Their tactics are very close to those of Hitler's Nazi brown shirts, a bunch of shouting goons who refused to allow orderly free speech in any Town Hall setting! It's true that the tycoons of the health care industries are showing all the signs of desperation; they may be failing, but they're still wringing profit concessions from Obama and his negotiators. It's all about money, their gravy train. What we, the American healthcare patient public, need to remember is that the U.S. economy, at fourteen trillion dollars a year, can well afford to pay for a universal health insurance plan that :(1) cuts inflation and saves us money! (2) covers 100% 0f Americans; (3) covers pre-existing conditions; (4) covers us without change when we change jobs; (5) lets us choose our own doctors (6) can't refuse any legitimate claim; (7) won't force doctors to order unnecessary procedures, or refuse to allow procedures when necessary in the opinion of the doctor; (8) will not charge prices and copayments that are beyond the means of the patient. Clearly, only a public , alternative plan can guarantee these features against the demonstrated greed of the profit seeking entrepreneurs of the industry. Lets get real. It's all about money. For the tycoons, money always trumps hearts. They shouldn't be profiteering on our illnesses.
