DEFIANCE IN IRAN
The people of the entire world, including the Muslim world, are shocked and appalled by the horrors they see being inflicted on the citizens of Iran. The whole world stands with them and admires their bravery, courage, and determination, to stand up to the repressive regime that has lied to its own people. The world has seen that their demonstrations in solidarity were peaceful and non violent from the start.
But the repressive regime has chosen to inflict violence and bloodshed on it's own citizens in an attempt to silence and intimidate them. And why? Because the Iranian people just want what they were promised. For their vote to be counted in a fair election. The entire world has also seen what a fraud this so called free election was. The world has also observed that the Iranian citizens had no intention of trying to over throw the regime, and were demonstrating peacefully. They just want what they were promised by the Iranian Government itself, their vote being counted in a fair election.
The crackdown, which the Government hopes will restore order, seems to be producing a different result. Instead of backing down and going home, the protestors seem more determined, and sometimes even challenging. The Government may have misread the situation from early on.They may now view this all as a bigger threat to their retaining power than previously thought.
The violence and brutality is being carried out by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and Bastiji militia. Would both these forces be in fear of reprisal if they didn't follow these orders? Or are they firmly committed to the defense of the Regime? They can learn a lesson from their own brave and courageous citizens. They should stand with the people and demonstrate their own bravery and courage, and refuse these orders.
Despite the Iranian Governments attempt of a total news blackout, the world is viewing home invasions of Iranian citizens by the Revolutionary Guard and Government authorities. Thanks to the Internet, and Twitter in particular, the true story is getting out. Complete news blackouts are near impossible now in this age of camera cell phones and the Internet. We are seeing women, children, the elderly, being terrorized in their own homes by the agents who do the Governments dirty work.
It is truly shocking. The entire world is now also witness to what the repressive Iranian Government is inflicting on its own people. All because they demand what they were promised. That their vote be counted in a fair election, and no more. The Iranian Government looks very bad here. This is surprising to most of the world ,who had no idea how oppressive the Iranian Government could be in their attempt to silence and intimidate their own people.
The citizens of Iran who have been killed in the past two weeks are now martyrs to their cause in the Islamic world. Enough praise and admiration can not be said to those injured or persecuted for their perseverance and bravery in the face of danger to their own personal safety. They continue to stand up for what they believe is just and right. Truly admirable. Most of the world, including the Muslim world, is on their side. Shame on the Iranian Government and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard for the choice they have made.
