Coffe-Can Insurance

Life couldn't be better.
I've come to the conclusion that reforming health care (providing universal health care coverage) would destroy one of America's most cherished health care traditions: coffee can insurance.
You know the kind. Make a quick run in to a convenience store just about anywhere and you'll see one of those ubiquitous coffee cans pasted over with the picture of some poor child or parent or oldster who's family is asking for your spare change so they can afford a bone marrow transplant or a walker for grandma or some other medical-related calamity they simply can't afford. We really don't want to lose that tradition of community coming together to help those in need, now do we?
Think about it. If we allow EVERYONE equal access to affordable medical care and affordable insurance premiums we run the very real risk of destroying volunteerism in this nation.
And another point against universal health care. If you can all-of-a-sudden afford health care premiums, gone will be one of the incentives to better yourself. What better incentive to make something of yourself than seeing your children suffer because you're too lazy to go out and get a well-paying job.
We really need to get our priorities straight in this country. If we let all of those undeserving (those who don't "have") join in the party without doing as much work as the deserving (those who "have"), well, don't you see ("I'm just saying")?
Being poor or under-employed or having been laid-off or simply not having as much money as others is Nature's way of telling you that you don't deserve some of those nicer things in life; like medical care and an education and a clean safe place to sleep.
Our Constitution says nothing about health care. It says nothing about education. It says nothing about housing.
The American Way means to work and save and do without. If there's some suffering along the way its because god (who is a good god, like a good father) wants you to grow stronger. Just like YOUR father did when he made you sleep outside in the cold without supper. He, being a good father, wanted you to grow stronger.
The American Way means if you work hard, play by the rules, keep your head down and your mouth shut it will all come to you.
And if it doesn't come to you its your fault. So shut up your mouth and get back to work. We don't need to hear you groan and moan about things that are your fault.
See there? See how easy it is to understand why universal health care is wrong and will ruin our nation? Universal health care, affordable health care premiums for quality health care, will make us a nation of weaklings, whiners and wimps.
Life couldn't be better.
NOT!
