I've just read an article, titled: "Bernanke admits Fed struggling to revive private lending" in the January 13 edition of Financial Week.
Someone needs to remind these bureaucratic supermen, ala Ben Bernanke, Mr. Paulson, Mr.Rubin, etc., and politicos like Mr. Frank, Mr.Dodd, Mr.Shelby, etc. that instead of giving the incompetent banks the tax payer generated funds to loan to the small business community they might use the apparatus that the US Government has successfully used for over 56 years. It is called the SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION's direct loan program to loan funds to the Small Business community. It would take MINOR legislation to rewrite or suspend the current small business size standards so the SBA can broaden its loan perimeters.
