We know people like Stephen Moore and Bill Kristol and Peggy Noonan who represent nobody at all get way more television airtime than any labor leader who represents hundreds of thousands of workers. We know television (sans Rachel Maddow's show) almost never allows one of those labor leaders on its airwaves. But when they do, it would be nice if our Establishment media could do the absolute bare minimum and get those leaders' names right:
For reference, it's Ron Gettelfinger, not Jeffrey Gettelfinger
(I took a screen shot because the Times' will likely correct this).
I know, I know - we all make mistakes, but spelling a name wrong - and god forbid, screwing up the actual name - used to get you an F in journalism school. More importantly, something tells me the New York Times wouldn't accidentally mess up, say, the names of George Will or David Broder - people who (unlike Ron Gettelfinger) don't represent thousands of workers, but who are nonetheless billed by our ruling class as far more Serious, Important and Teevee-Worthy than actual movement leaders.
