Wallowing in their own filth: must be autumn again

You know that post I did the other day in which the National Republican Senatorial Campaign Committee barfed forth that "Hanoi Jane Fonda is stumping for liberal senate candidates"? Well, something just occurred to me. Precisely because of her reputation as "Hanoi Jane," any senate candidate who had Fonda stump for him or her would have to be crazy. So crazy, in fact, that it would be newsworthy.

So I checked.

Proquest Newsstand. Lexis-Nexis. Using these two monster databases, which canvass several dozen newspapers from around the world between them, I searched for the word "Jane Fonda" and "senate." And yielded...zero results. Shocking: conservatives are making things up again. NBF politics at its most craven.
