Introducing the Next Tom DeLay

January 2006

boehner_flash_screenshot.jpgAs the race to replace Tom DeLay as House majority leader heated up, we created "mock campaign ad" for Reps. John Boehner, R-Ohio, Roy Blunt, R-Mis., and John Shadegg, R-Ariz. Using web advertising and our supporters' spreading the word, these ads exposed the fact that the three men vying for Majority Leader are cut from the same corrupt cloth as Tom DeLay.

aupss_logo.gifPresident Bush's No. 1 domestic priority, privatization of Social Security, was stopped dead in its tracks in 2005. Wal-Mart Action Center

November 2005

To complement the Wal-Mart film's premiere week, we created a comprehensive action website to allow people to confront the high costs of Wal-Mart's deceptive low-price image in one of four ways:

  • Pressure Congress to enact legislation requiring Wal-Mart to provide healthcare for their employees;
  • Write letters to the editor to expose the high costs of Wal-Mart's low prices;
  • Pressure local government officials to stop diverting local tax dollars to pay corporate welfare to Wal-Mart;
  • Recruit friends to the fight.

Reversing Bush's Assault on Katrina Victims' Wages

Project Hypocrite

September 2005

On the eleventh anniversary of the signing of Newt Gingrich's Contract with America in late September, we flooded media outlets with thousands of letters highlighting the hypocrisy of the so-called Republican "reformers." Accenting our point that the Republicans who came in as reformers created a racket – just one day later, Tom DeLay was indicted on criminal conspiracy charges. more »
